mental
Mental abuse can happen to just about anybody. it occurs when a person tries to control information available to another person as to manipulate that person's sense of reality: what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. For example, telling someone to take something off because if u wear that you'll be considered the slut of the town or telling someone they will never amount to anything. One that really gets to me is when family tells you "your going to end up just like your mother/father a low-down no good son of a biscuit." Of all things to say to someone that is one thing that will break someone down. I think people do it so they can manipulate a person to do whatever they wanted. It may be emotional abuse in this sense when it is designed to cause emotional pain to victims or to “mess with their heads” in attempts to gain compliance and counter any resistance. Alternatively, mental abuse may occur when one victim is forced to watch another be abused in some fashion (verbally, emotionally, physically or sexually). Like verbal abuse, mental abuse is often not recognized as abuse early on and can result in serious psychological effects later on down the lines of their life. it also leads them to abuse other things such as drugs and alcohol.
sex
Sexual Abuse of children or adults includes any sort of unwanted sexual contact perpetrated on a someone by an abuser. Molestation, incest, inappropriate touching (like your happy place), and partner or date rape are all instances of sexual abuse. It also occurs if one partner has agreed to a certain level of sexual activity and another level is forced upon her (or him) without prior consent being given. Sexual abuse is often coupled with physical abuse (or threat of physical abuse) and emotional abuse. For instance, molesters or rapist will often threaten harm to their victims or to someone or something their victim cares about in order to compel that victim's silence about the sexual abuse or to convince the victim that he or she “asked for it” in some way.
I don't really think anybody should get abused especially sexually i just feel that if someone has to stoop that low as to raping or touching someone inappropriately than that person as problems of their own to deal with. no one should have to go through that because it leaves a mark that may never be able to heal.

child
There are soooo many types of abuses out in the world but the one that particularly gets under my skin is child abuse. I do not understand why someone will hit a child to the point where there is blood gushing out of their head etc. did you know that it is a known fact that about 85 percent of prison inmates were abused as a child? Most people do not realize that this is happening everyday and it is not being reported. I want to share a journal that I received. It is from an eleven year old girl who was physically and sexually abused. The names have been changed to conceal their identity.
Sept 23, 2009 Dear journal, How are you & hows life? I'm okay just taking things day by day. Mom has a new bf name John I never really got a good vibe from him but you know mom my opinion "doesn't matter" when it comes to her and her men. every time I walk in the room he looks at me funny and tells me don't call him Mr. john call him jay. I just don't get good vibes from him.
Oct. 1, 2009 Dear journal, today has been the worst day of my life. Mr. john tried to touch me. mom said she was going out and she'll be back later so it was me and Mr. john in there...alone. I already told you I don't get good vibes from him so I just went in my room, closed my door and turned my radio on. A little while has passed and Mr. john comes into my room saying he's not going to hurt me she just wants to smell my hair. He lied. He pinned me down and started kissing on my neck & touching me down there. I said stop he said no and started smacking me saying "little girls shouldn't talk back it only makes it worse." I wanted to scream soooo bad but was afraid of what he would do next so I just sat there and let him go. mom came in just as he was about to get off me and started screaming for him to get out. she called 911 and asked was i ok. The only thing i could do was cry. maybe next time she'll consider my opinion about her men.
I just wanted to share this to let people know that stuff like this doesn't just happen in movies but it is also real life. Here are some sites that can give you more insight about such as warning signs etc.

abuse
You always hear about abuse whether it be verbal, physical, mental etc but do you really know what it is. Abuse is the wrongful use or mistreatment of something. People don't even realize that most people get abused in their very own home. Most of the abuse happens to women ranging from the age of seven on up. The funny thing most women are afraid to speak up because they fear the judgment of other people. One of the most devastating effects of living with a verbal abuser is the changes your self-esteem. As women begin to internalize the criticism and believe it's valid, self-image sinks lower and lower. after a while they start feeling worthless, incompetent, unlovable. After all, when someone who knows them so well thinks they are so worthless and unlovable, then "it must be true."
